Passengers movie.

Post by Anika on Thu Mar 16, 2017 10:42 am

Plot:
Aurora and Jim are suspended in animation, travelling abroad the starship Avalon to start new lives on the planet of Homestead II. Their lives are not yet intertwined but when Jim is awakened 90 years too early during a ship malfunction, it leads the two of them to each other. Both are terrified at the thought of spending the rest of their lives on a ship, along with all the mysterious malfunctions that keep happening. One day, they discover the ship is in grave danger and it is up to them to save themselves and the other 5,000 sleeping passengers on board.

I really enjoyed watching this film, so much so that I wanted to see it again in cinema. Very Happy The effects are mesmerising and the starship Avalon is just stunning. (see photos below!). The chemistry that both Chris Pratt (Jim) and Jennifer Lawrence (Aurora) have is undeniably intense, making the film incredible to watch. I think there were some areas of the film where it was a little too romanticised and it would have been better to see those scenes done in a more gritty manner. The relationship between Jim and Aurora, although it works incredibly well, it feels a tad too uncomplicated.. not saying you can't get uncomplicated relationships, but just given their circumstances, it seems too straight forward, aha! Anyway, I definitely recommend for you guys to watch it! It's a brilliant film overall. Very Happy

Thanks for posting! I saw a commercial for this movie on TV and I love how Jennifer is in it as she is my fave actress. It is not usually my type of movie to watch though.
