Cowspiracy | Netflix movie

Post by Beloved♡ on Sat Sep 16, 2017 6:44 pm

Cowspiracy : The Sustainability Secret
is an environmental documentary movie about the impact and effects of the cattle industry on the environment. Made by Kip Anderson and Keegan Kuhn, it talks about how the number one leading cause of deforestation, water consumption, pollution, habitat loss, etc. is animal agriculture. It also reveals why well-known environmental organizations are not brave enough to speak of this crucial issue. It is an eye-opening film that will impact the lives of people forever.

I haven't watched this, but I personally don't see how having some cows can effect the environment in all those disastrous ways like. It's all pretty much for promoting veganism and going vegan, as I saw on their website. The worlds population is never going to become vegan, and neither am I

This sounds interesting. I don't usually watch documentaries, but I may give this one a try.

@Marilyn The documentary does point out an important point of what impact animal agriculture has on the environment and not just cows. However, cows are one example of that. And yes, it is in fact promoting veganism. They key reason why cows, for example, are impacting the environment in such a way is because there is a demand for meat by people, and that demand is causing more cows to be bred for that, which leads to the use of resources to feed the cows, just for the use to kill them for meat for people to eat. The whole world won't realistically become vegan however if one believes in making a good impact through this lifestyle then that is one way to help the environment.

@Hazza I hope you do!
